Portner Pittack Dental Practice Covid Measures

Please take a lat flow test prior to coming in on the day of your appointment so that we can try to keep patients and staff safe.

If you have covid, we ask that you do not come in to the practice even if you feel fine or just have slight symptoms.

Arriving at PPDP

  • Please arrive on time
  • The sitting area in reception is now available
  • If you prefer, you can wait outside
  • Please put on your mask, come in and sanitise your hands

Parking

If you park in the private slip road outside the practice please pick up a business card from inside the practice and display it in your car so that you do not get a fine. As it is a Private Road, the Blue Badge Scheme will not apply.

Alternatively park on the main road or in Thornfield Avenue.

You will be sent an email to remind you of your appt and to ask you about your current COVID status, please return this before coming in. We are obliged to triage you on the day of your appointment.

Appointment Times

Please arrive on time

  • Brush and floss your teeth at home if you normally do it at the practice
  • Due to the level of PPE being worn by clinical staff, the rooms are much colder than usual, if you need to, please bring in cardigan or jumper to wear

At the end of your appointment

  • Please put on your face covering before leaving the surgery
  • Put on your coat
  • Sanitise your hands

Payment

  • Apple and Android Pay
  • BACS Payments can be made, please call and ask for details
  • We no longer accept cash or cheques
  • Credit card - The terminal will be cleaned before and after you use it
  • If you wish to leave immediately reception will call you at home to take payment over the phone
  • We will not be giving any paper receipts or appointment slips, they will be emailed to you as needed
  • Insurance companies are now using online portals you will be sent statement for you to pass on. We are not printing or posting statements

Accompanying Patient

If coming in to the surgery with you, they will also need to be triaged about their Covid status.
