Benefit from bespoke invisible braces

Invisalign were the first clear aligners ever created. They revolutionised the world of teeth straightening. Using cutting-edge SmartTrack technology, Invisalign braces are clinically proven to optimise the movement of your teeth faster than any other kind of clear aligner.

Made from smooth, comfortable, and virtually invisible plastic that fits around your teeth, Invisalign braces are designed to both look and feel as though you are not wearing them. They have no bonded metal brackets or unsightly wires that need adjusting; only a perfectly clear plastic casing.

So, even though your invisible brace will be working hard to straighten your teeth quickly and effectively, no one will be able to tell you’re wearing them. Invisalign braces are also easily removable - you can take them out to eat food or play sports without worry.

How do Invisalign braces work?

As the most advanced clear aligner system in the world, Invisalign uses gentle forces to gradually move your teeth to where they need to be in a way that is both fast and safe.

The treatment works by using a series of custom-made aligners created for your teeth. The number of aligners you will need throughout your treatment will depend on how complex your case is. In most cases, you’ll usually have one aligner for every two weeks of treatment.

Of course, if all of your teeth are severely crooked, this will take longer to correct than a slightly misaligned front tooth. Following your consultation, your orthodontist will be able to show you your virtual treatment plan as created by Invisalign’s ClinCheck software.

This technology shows the current positioning of your teeth and it can provide images of how your teeth will respond to Invisalign braces. You’ll be able to see how your teeth will look at the end of your treatment, as well as the progress you’ll make at each stage and with each new aligner; so you can see how your invisible braces are working.

At Portner Pittack in Mill Hill East, North London, we are trusted and established dental partners for Invisalign. Our specialist orthodontist, Dr Vaughan, is a leading practitioner of Invisalign teeth straightening treatments.

Your Invisalign braces consultation in Mill Hill East

When you come in for your Invisalign consultation at our North London practice, you’ll be met by our specialist orthodontist. This will be a very relaxed appointment where we will try to get a better idea of what you hope to achieve from your teeth straightening treatment and whether Invisalign braces will be suitable for you.

If the orthodontist believes one of our other teeth straightening products may be able to better help you achieve the final results you’re looking for, they’ll be able to advise you at this stage.

You’ll also have the opportunity during this appointment to ask a specialist any questions or concerns you may have about Invisalign. We’ll be able to tell you everything you want to know. If Invisalign is right for you, we want to make sure that you are happy to go ahead with the treatment.

Your orthodontist will need to carry out a clinical assessment on your teeth and take x-rays of your mouth to make sure the agreed outcomes are definitely possible. We’ll also take 3D scans of your teeth using Invisalign’s industry-leading technology application to plan the position of each tooth.

These impressions of your teeth will then be sent to our colleagues at Invisalign to create your custom aligners. As mentioned, you’ll also get the chance to see how your teeth look now, how they’ll change during your Invisalign treatment, and how they will look when your treatment is complete.

Invisalign – Invisible braces made to measure

Once created, your custom-made invisible brace will be sent back to your orthodontist in Mill Hill East. You’ll be called back to our North London practice to try them on.

You’ll be given between 18 and 36 aligners for both the upper and lower jaw. Along with these bespoke Invisalign braces, you’ll also be given a personalised treatment plan to let you know the dates of when you need to change your aligner to the next one in the series.

Depending on the complexity of your case, your Invisalign teeth straightening treatment should take around eighteen months to reach the agreed final result.
